So today I scored the Wolf Sister Giftset! Howleen is just adorable! And thankfully hairspray can take Clawdeen's floppy curly hair and make it into the beautiful purple afro I was promised by the promotional shots!

My gripes about this set are, as many others have complained- STANDS! Why are there no stands?! Thankfully their quality is much better than that of the Werecat Twins reputation- there were three on the shelf, none had any flaws, scratches, cracks or screwy paint jobs- but the Clawdeen doll doesn't have the jointed hip attachments. SHE'S A STEP BACKWARDS!! I mean, WTH MATTEL!?

Are there just...extra Clawdeen bodies lying around your factories so you're using them for this pack? Why not instead of doing that, root them with brown hair and ship them out as the Wave one Basic, or School's Out, and give me some Clawdeen bodies with jointed hips for this pack! Holy moly! I mean no stands plus the fact the shoes don't have a firm heel, its a rubber bendy one, and elsatic holding her legs in so I can't turn them to different angels means: IT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for this Clawdeen to stand on her own two feet! She will always have to lean on some other doll or against something...RUBBISH! GAH!!

But other than that, I love it. A much better gift set idea than the 'Pallet Swap Twins'.

I got the gift set yesterday, no flaws whatsoever, except for the floppy hair.

Mine had floppy hair too, a bit of hair spray helps it stay nice and puffy, you just have to cover the doll's body with a towel to protect them.

What do you mean by, "the Clawdeen doll doesn't have the jointed hip attachments"?
JadeJeebie Featured By Owner Mar 12, 2012
All the new dolls I've gotten so far, Nefera, Toralei, Operetta, have leg joints that connect to the torsos like the arms. They're on a rotating ball. All the old dolls the legs are held in with elastic, so there's no way to 'lock' the legs in place if you lift them up and pull them out to an angel, they'll be pulled back by the band. The new basics don't have this problem becuase of the ball. They can be posed to stand with their feet stretched apart, but this Clawdeen is like the old dolls, not the new ones.

Love this! I'm hoping to get both of those doll sets off of ebay soon (Howleen + Clawdeen set, and the Clawd + Draculaura set) but those rank resell prices aren't helping.... D:
